WE DEMAND IMMEDIATE UNCONDITIONAL WITHDRAWAL.

　　　　We are families and ex-members of Self-Defense Forces who, wishing peace, have stood up voicing opposition to way to wars.
　　　 In countries abroad, US among others, soldiers whether active or retired and their families are raising voices to stop occupation of Iraq. In Japan, however, voices of anxiety or anger of SDF members and their families have been suppressed.
 　　　We, families, friends and ex-members of SDF, have stood up with our desperate concern that we have to do whatever to change the situation.
 　　　None of SDF members joined it in order to do war abroad. They joined it for recruitment, or out of ingenous idea to protect the country.
 　　　In the dispatch to Iraq, however, SDF have stepped, first since its birth, into battlefield, now making forces really engaged in war.
 　　　Throwing away the principle of “defense absolute”, Groud, Maritime and Air Self-Defense Force members are forced on the departure to militarily occupy Iraq where there is no sign whatever of possibility of “direct invasion” nor“indirect invasion” against Japan.
 　　　If ever we admit, obey the sending, dispatches would be repeated, expanded, going into quagmire without doubt, in which SDF members of our nation cannot help but kill Iraqi people opposing occupation or innocent persons, or be victims themselves too.
　　　 We never can allow leaving SDF members driven to such circumstances.
 　　　Government withdraw immediately SDF members dispatched to Iraq. Stop at once sending any additional or shift personnel. Families of SDF, ex-SDF members! Let us protect lives of SDF members and their homes-families. Take to actions demanding immediate total withdrawal of all occupying troops, SDF among others, together with people of the world who want peace and oppose military occupation of Iraq. Do let the invasion and occupation cease in an as early day as possible, leaving Iraq back to the people of Iraq, hand in hand with soldiers of occupying armies and their families of US, UK, Korea and all the world.
